From Bunny to Bunny to Benefit Haiti: Cross Country Team Raises Funds and Awareness

You have been noticing those great Dedham Bunnies, haven’t you? They crouch happily all over town sponsored by the Dedham Artists Guild as a fundrasier for art in the public arena.  They are now becoming the destination point for Nobles Cross Country Boys runners and coaches David Ulrich and Kate Blake. On Wednesday, October 17, instead of afternoon practice as usual, the team will head out with pledges in hand to run a course from bunny to bunny–stopping by the Dedham Farmer’s Market at the end of the half marathon long course. All proceeds will benefit Louverture Cleary School/The Haitian Project ( http://www.haitianproject.org) which has been a longtime service partner. Their mission: educate and nurture academically talented and motivated students from Haitian families who cannot afford the cost of their children’s education in order to maximize their potential and enable them to work toward building a Haiti where justice and peace thrive.” “There will be photo opportunities at every bunny along the way” says Ulrich. ” Look for very fleet footed runners wearing bunny ears.” To locate the bunnies yourself, go tohttp://www.everytrail.com/guide/dedham-public-art-project.
