RichardGlendon-1Duncan Glendon, the grandson of Richard Glendon, christens the Nobles boat named after his grandfather.┬áThe first ever professional coach of Nobles crew, Richard Glendon is best known for coaching the U.S. men’s eight-man to the nation’s first ever gold medal in rowing at the 1928 Olympics. The “Naiad II” boat was also christened on Saturday, May 20, in honor of Nobles’ women’s crew team of 1996, which won the national championship and set the national record that still stands today.
